Account Deletion
You can delete your TourJ account and the data associated with it at any time, using either of the methods below.
1. Delete in the app (recommended · immediate)
- Sign in to the TourJ app (iOS or Android).
- Open the Me (Profile) tab at the bottom.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm. For security you must have signed in recently; the app may ask you to re-enter your password or sign in again.
- When deletion completes you are signed out automatically, and both server and on-device data are removed.
2. If you uninstalled the app or cannot sign in (email request)
Email dainomk556@gmail.com with the details below. Sending from the email address you registered with speeds up verification.
- Subject: [TourJ] Account deletion request
- The sign-in method you used (Apple / Google / Kakao / Naver / Email) and, if you know them, the account email address or your nickname and friend code in the app
Requests are processed within 7 business days and you will receive a confirmation. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
3. Data that is deleted
- Server: account and profile, all trips, places and folders, globe backup (wishlist and engravings), friend relationships, share links and invitations you created, shared trips you own, your membership in shared trips you joined, the 1:1 inquiry and feedback chat, this account's device notification addresses, trip albums you own (including photos uploaded by members) and photos you uploaded to other members' albums, AI usage records, and the Firebase authentication account (including revocation of Sign in with Apple tokens). For accounts that use Kakao or Naver sign-in, the app also asks Kakao or Naver to disconnect the sign-in when you delete the account in the app.
- Device: stored trip and itinerary files, ticket and receipt files, wishlist, app settings, scheduled notifications, and analytics identifiers
4. Data excluded from immediate deletion and retention periods
- Shared content in trips owned by other members — the trip itself remains for the other members; only your membership and identifier links are removed.
- In-app purchase transaction ledger with the user identifier (UID) removed — transaction records are kept to prevent duplicate grants and preserve payment integrity, and are never re-linked to a member.
- Account-deletion safety lock — only a status and expiry time remain for 48 hours, then are deleted automatically.
- Operational logs and backups held by processors (Google Firebase / Gemini) — deleted after a limited period under each provider's policy.
- Dispute/complaint records — records in the 1:1 inquiry and feedback chat about disputes or complaints, such as purchases and refunds, may be kept separately for 3 years after resolution.
- Information subject to statutory retention — stored separately for the legally required period, then destroyed.
See Section 7 of the Privacy Policy for details. Deleted data cannot be recovered; you may sign up again at any time with Sign in with Apple, Google, Kakao or Naver (new email sign-ups are not accepted).
